Prof. Mirudhubashini Govindarajan – Director
Dr. Mirudhubashini Govindarajan was instrumental in the formation of Womens Center. Over the years she has leveraged her contacts across the global healthcare network to bring many new technologies to women’s healthcare in India and been actively involved in continuing medical education. In early 2011, she moved into a brand new facility of her own Womens Center, built on par with world standards, located in the Northern part of Coimbatore providing all women’s healthcare services under a single roof. She has received various awards and honors in recognition of her service to the society including the ‘Mother Teresa Sadbhavana Award‘ for her achievements and contributions in the field of Women’s Healthcare.
Dr. Kalpana Subbarayan – Radiologist
A Gold Medalist in College, Dr. Kalpana Subbarayan went on to get certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. After a stint at a couple of places, she joined Womens Center in January 2011 and has focused on Women’s imaging. Her areas of special interest in Women’s imaging include Breast Imaging, Dopplers in obstetrics, 3D Gyneac Imaging and Saline Sonography. She has been focusing on providing cutting edge pelvic study imaging for women using the MRI. In 2012, she was certified in MRgFUS Exablate by Insightec.
Dr. Ramya J. Namburi – Gynecologist
Dr. Ramya J Namburi is a gynecologist with a special interest in gynecological surgery. With her patient oriented thoughts, she looked for ways of a reducing pain and recovery time for her patients. Dr. Ramya thus got herself certified to perform gyneac endoscopy and is one of the few gyneac surgeons that has specifically focused on hysteroscopic surgery. She went on to get herself certified in Ultrasonology for Obstetrics and Gynecology through various organizations worldwide including the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Dr. Ramya is an instructor and trainer at the Indian Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery Research and Training.
